Sugarbabe Set to Wed
It seems Sugarbabes Amelle Berrabah is set to marry her boyfriend Freddie Fuller after helping nurse him back to health after the horrific machete attack on him late last year.
Freddie who nearly lost an arm and leg due to the attack said “She’s my guardian angel. She’s always stood by me, even when things got really bad. I want to marry her. I’ll get down on both knees if I have to.”
Fingers crossed for Freddie she says yes!
Nudist Weddings
Nudism, it seems, is growing in popularity and so it follows that so are nude weddings. A recent example are Pamela and Lee who in front of 600 guests in the Berkshire Mountains (not the Berkshire where the Queen sometimes lives, but some hills in the the US of A) wearing the Emperores’ New Wedding Dress - as in nothing, nada, not a stitch. The Groom was a little more modest sporting a top hat and bow tie, perhaps he was embarrassed by a bald spot?
All but a dozen guests we also starkers for this very special day. Pamela said of her wedding day,
“We worked for many months to craft a ceremony that was very expressive of our thoughts and our beliefs,” Pamela said. Having a nude wedding was “so expressive of who we are,” she said. “It’s so natural, it’s so unpretentious.”
I think I would add ‘and very cheap’
Summer Wedding for Sienna Miller
Rhys Ifans has finally got the the answer he wanted at the third time of asking for Sienna’s hand in marriage, “yes” was reportedly the answer. Rhys had proposed both last August and December using rather unorthodox methods of hiding rings and sending text messages in Welsh!
Sienna was recently reported as saying, “I am in love - Rhys and I are the best of mates and life is going great.”
I wonder whether it will be OK or Hello that win the rights to their wedding…
Conservative MP to Enter a Civil Partnership
Alan Duncan will be having the same sex equivalent of a wedding when he enters into a Civil Partnership with his partner James Dunseath. He will become the first Conservative MP to do so and the mutterings within the party is that this is a great thing, not only for Alan and James, but for the image of the Conservative party itself.
It was Margaret Thatcher’s government that introduced ‘Section 28′ into the education system to prevent the ‘liberal lefties’ from teaching children about gays - this lost Thatcher a lot of votes and cast an image of homophobia over the whole party.
In recent years, with David Cameron as the party leader, this image has gone a long way to being shaken off, this partnership is hoped to remove any lingering impression that the Conservative party is homophobic.
Full story and interview with Alan Duncan at the Times Online website.
It is good to see high profile MPs no longer afraid that they will put an end to their careers by publicly acknowledging their homosexuality.

Fighting at Your Wedding
At trial at Worcester Magistrates Court this week saw a Groom and Best Man being charged with aggravated assault during the actual wedding reception.
One version of events has the Best Man telling the Bride and Groom to go home so that the could clear up… the Groom didn’t like that, so punched the Best Man, breaking his tooth in the process!
We often her about trouble with friends and family leading up to the wedding in our Family / Friend Trouble forum but so far, happily, none of our members have reported actual fighting.
Have you witnessed fighting at a wedding or are you concerned that there may be fighting on your big day?
£50 Church Fee for Your Wedding?
Father Michael Canny, P.P. of St. Eugene’s in Derry, Northern Ireland has started to charge wedding couples a flat fee of £50 to get married.
Of his 76 weddings last year only 16 were from local couples.
Father Canny says that most couples either don’t make a ‘donation’ or if they do, it is often very small. He also explained that many couples book up several churches 2-3 years in advance and make a final choice nearer the time, therefore taking dates away from other couples - he hoped this charge would help to prevent that.
£50 seems like a very small amount to me for ‘hiring’ Gods house for your wedding. I can’t imagine getting married in a church and not making a donation significantly more than that!
How much will you be ‘charged’, or will you ‘donate’ to your church when you get married? Is the Father being canny… or should the Church be free?
Win a Wedding Worth Almost £7000!
Katherine has gone to London and I am left holding the baby - well not quite holding as she is currently taking a nap. This nap only lasts for 30 minutes and 12 have been taken up eating.
So, if there are spelling mistakes in this, blame Fay for not checking!
There is a competition running to win an all inclusive wedding at the Wincham Hall Hotel in Cheshire. This is a stunning location about 20 miles from where I live.
The winners will get an array of prizes, from silver service dinner and drinks package for 50 people, a Toastmaster for the day, outfit hire, photos, video, cake and much more!
If you want to enter you have explain, in no more than 100 words, why you and your partner would like to win. Seems easy enough, althouh ‘to get loads of free stuff’ will probably not get you onto the shortlist!
The wedding must take place between October 1, 2008 and February 28, 2009 and is subject to availability.
Full details can be found on the This is Cheshire website
Would you want to win a wedding where most of the services are already decided? Would it being ‘free’ ease any compromises?
My view - damn sure it would!

Coleen McLoughlin picks a £100,000 Wedding Dress
If reports are true then Wayne Ronney’s B2B has chosen this shockingly expensive wedding dress by fashion house Marchesa. Seems she picked it our whilst on a shopping trip to New York.
The Marchesa label is a top choice with celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Sienna Miller and Dita Von Teese. It was worn at the Oscars last month by both Anne Hathaway and Jennifer Alba.
So, lots of celebs buy from the same fashion house - but come on, £100,000 for a dress?!?!? Is she crazy!
I wonder if she will be going for a ‘trash the dress’ photoshoot after the wedding…
