Hallmark Says ‘I Do’ To Same Sex Marriage Cards

Most US states don’t recognize same sex marriage but Hallmark greeting cards do.

The USA’s largest greeting card company is now producing samesex wedding cards.

One features two tuxedos with overlapping hearts or intertwined flowers the greeting inside says “Two hearts. One promise,”

Hallmark added the cards after California joined Massachusetts as the only U.S. states with legal Same sex marriages.

Only a handful of other states have recognized same-sex civil unions.

The language inside the cards is neutral, with no mention of wedding or marriage making them suitable for a commitment ceremony.

Hallmark says they have produced the cards in response to consumer demand and not any political pressure.

I for one think this is a good idea.

Lets hope other large card companies follow suit.

If there is no mention of ‘wedding’ or ‘marriage’ on the card then is it really a wedding card??!?

Got something to say?
