Wedding Venue Heartbreak

WEDDING plans of around 50 couples have been thrown into turmoil after a top hotel went bust.

The historic Broadfield Hotel, in Rochdale, shut its doors on Tuesday.

Many had paid thousands to hold receptions and now face a desperate hunt for a new venue for their big day.

And couples have been told they have `no chance’ of getting their money back  unless they paid by credit card.

It is thought 15 couples were due to have  their wedding receptions before Christmas.

The Broadfield is set in 35 acres of parkland above Rochdale town hall and once featured as a film set for the BBC drama Waterloo Road.

How awful i feel so sorry for all the couples involved.
