Wedding Cancelled after Bomb Found
A wedding ceremony due to take place at a hotel in Cambridgeshire last saturday had to be cancelled after explosives were found.
Orton Hall Hotel in Orton Longueville, Peterborough, was evacuated after workmen digging at the site found bottles containing live munitions.
About 50 wedding guests and hotel staff had to taken to a nearby primary school.
A specialist explosive had to be called to the scene to deal with World War II munitions, police said.
A Cambridgeshire Police spokeswoman said: “The hotel and adjacent pub have been closed to public access as a precaution.
I feel sorry for the couple involved!
Let’s hope they managed to get another venue sorted.
