Jilted Husband Wants Kidney Back he Donated to Wife
A New York jilted husband is demanding back the kidney he gave to his wife after finding out she had an affair with her therapist.
Dr Richard Batista had been married to Dawnell for ten years and was happy to donate one of his kidneys’ in June 2001 but she filed for divorce just four years after the transplant had taken place.
He said “My first priority was to save her life. The second bonus was to turn the marriage around. I saved her life and then to be betrayed like this is unfathomable. It’s incomprehensible.”
The father of three is also fighting for visiting rights to his children after his wife is refusing to let him see them.
Dominick Barbara who is Richard’s lawyer said “In theory we actually asked for the return of the kidney. Of course he wouldn’t really ask for that but the value of it.”
Dr Batista says he wants what he believes the kidney is worth which is $1.5 million.
Think I would be happier to give back the ring or the house and keep the kidney!
