Bad Weather Conditions Did Not Stop Wedding
A bride to be had to battle her way through the ice and snow that has covered most of the UK and brought many Cities to a standstill this week.
Natalie Brittion was not going to let the bad weather conditions stand in the way of getting to her groom-to-be Philip Cass who was waiting for her with their 22 month old baby son Elthan.
The flower arrangers and hairdresser had got stuck in the snow and were unable to reach Natalie so with some quick thinking she asked her hairdresser friend to stand in at the last minute and help do her hair.
When Natalie finally managed to begin her journey she was held up again by having to wait while a lorry that had overturned was moved and they almost never made it when a car skidded and came hurtling towards them but managed to stop just in time.
Having to stick to a speed limit of 30 miles per hour in heavy traffic got her thinking that she was not going to make it after all and “At one point I was quite tearful and didn’t think I’d get there” bride-to-be Natalie said.
The ceremony had been put back an hour when it was realised the bride was having trouble getting to the ceremony.
The wedding car waited at the end of the road as it was unable to get down to the bride’s house and Natalie put on her work boots and trousers so she could get changed at the hotel but time was running out and even her make-up had to be done in the car.
Thankfully she reached the Tortworth Court Four Pillars Hotel one hour and 15 minutes later and the ceremony was able to go ahead.
All but two of the 35 guests had managed to get there and the newlyweds said “It was worth it, everyone says the pictures in the snow are amazing and it certainly makes a day that everyone will remember”.
There’s snow wedding like a white one!
