Boss Tells Bride at Wedding Reception “I Slept with your Groom”
A marriage was ruined on the day of the wedding when the groom’s boss announced they had been having an affair.
While bride Sandrina and groom Harold were enjoying their wedding reception at the Naresa Palace in New York Jennifer Angevine who was Harold’s former boss shocked Sandrina by accusing her of “f- – -ing up” things with Harold by tying the knot with him and went on to tell the ashen faced new bride that ‘Me and Harry were good together. You had to ruin everything by marrying him. You f- – -ed everything up’.
The reception was halted and the 70 guests were ordered to leave. The newlyweds left separately and spent their wedding night apart with Sandrina stayed at her parent’s home and Harry staying with his best man.
Harry has firmly denied having an affair and Sandrina is so angry that she has taken out a civil suit for unspecified damages against Jennifer at the Queens Supreme Court accusing Jennifer of slander, inflicting emotional distress and battery.
Sandrina said: “This girl really ruined my life. Nobody should go through what I went through. Every time I talk about it, I get chills.
“I’m so hurt. What happened to me shouldn’t have happened to anyone. Someone just comes in and ruins your special day. I would like to see her go to jail for this.
What a shocker to a bride’s wedding day when it’s supposed to be one of the happiest days of her life!!!
Couple Use Wedding to Raise Funds for Cancer Charity
Sharon Llewellyn and Dave Medlam are charging their guests £5 to attend their wedding reception in a bid to raise money for Breast Cancer Care Cymru.
The couple from Pentrebane, Cardiff have even themed their reception on the well known pink bow icons and will complete the look with matching pink bowls.
Bride Sharon will be in keeping with the charity’s colours by wearing a pink wedding dress and Cardiff Bowls Club have kept in accordance with the pink theme by decorated it throughout. Wedding guests have also been asked to wear some type of pink clothing otherwise they face a fine.
Dave, a chef, said: “My best man, Roy John, is most put out about it. He’s 71 years old and he’s not really a fan of pink.”
With expected guests of 250 the couple will also encourage them to part with additional donations by letting them choose their favourite songs at the reception which is to be held at Sophia Gardens in the Cardiff Bowls Club.
A bowls match and spider game is to be held directly after the ceremony at Cardiff Register Office where guests will be asked to donate a further £5 to the charity.
The reason they are raising funds for cancer charity has been brought about by a close family relative who was affected by the condition.
The couple, who have both been married before, have five children and one granddaughter between them.
Slice of Victorian Wedding Cake for £145
A piece of wedding cake that is 138 years old is to be put up for sale at the NEC Antiques fair in Birmingham later this week.
The slice of cake is part of what was once Queen’s Victoria’s daughter’s wedding cake when she married the Marquis of Lorne back in 1871.
Made for Princess Louise the Victorian wedding cake was classed as one of the most ostentatious with a height of 5 feet and weighing over 225 pounds.
Her Majesty’s chief confectioner was given the task of making the elaborately decorated cake and embellished the base with white satin coats of arms from both the bride and groom’s families. Numerous small vases that contained orange blossom flowers were placed on the many tiers and orange blossom wreaths were wrapped all around from the base to the top of the cake.
Taking three months to make the crowning glory was four doves drinking from a fountain as well as a temple and four statues.
The one-inch slice of cake belongs to antiques dealer John Sheperd who acquired it several months ago with the full intention of selling in on at the NEC fair for a price of £145.
He said: “This is a fantastic piece of history and is a wonderful heirloom to pass on to future generations.”
Wedding Drink Stolen from Garage
Burglars stole cases of champagne and wine from a garage in Redditch that had been purchased and stored in readiness for a summer wedding.
Police believe the heartless thieves took the six cases of pink champagne and 200 bottles of wine between the hours of 8pm on Friday evening and 10.30am Monday morning. As well as the wedding alcohol they got away with electrical equipment which included a Sony TV/DVD, a 110-piece socket set and a laptop computer.
The garage that is attached to a house in Blakemere Close in Winyates East always had a car parked in front of the doors which means it is likely the robbery took place during daylight hours.
A police spokesperson said, “Offenders have almost certainly used a vehicle to transport the wine and champagne and it would have taken quite a while to load up. It may be that someone noticed it being moved from the garage to a van or estate car without realising the items were actually being stolen.”
Anyone with information is urged to call Redditch police on 0300 333 3000 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111
Hate to be a pessimist but could this have been a case of somebody knowing exactly what was in that garage?

This seasons layering trends works well for spring as intricate rows of smaller pearls are a simple way to enhance your look.
If you already have layers of lace and tulle on your dress a simple pearl pendant necklace can be really effective.
Bridesmaids can easily tie in to your look by adding a touch of colour with hair accessories or keeping up the floral theme across their jewellery too.

Marriage Preparation Courses for Catholic Churches in Lancaster
The Bishop of Lancaster has announced that couples wishing to get married in a Catholic church will have to undergo a Marriage Preparation Course consisting of six sessions with homework included.
There are two planned courses with the first being the Marriage Preparation which is a basic curriculum for non-practising Catholics and the second course is a Marriage Preparation Plus for churchgoers.
The courses have been requested by various priests after struggling to teach brides and grooms enough about marriage within the faith and Fr Robert Billing who is the Bishop’s secretary said. “At the moment there is some kind of education, because couples who want a church wedding meet a priest a few times before a wedding.
He went on to say, “often the priests are at a loss how to structure it, so this process formalises the whole thing.”
It will be the decision of the priest to decide which course would be best suited to a particle couple depending on their practising faith and knowledge.
Fr Tom Singleton of St Ignatius and English Martyrs churches in Preston said the course would help priests plan marriage preparations in a ‘more uniform way’.
He said: “The important thing is that priests are able to help couples for the long term and prepare them for the challenges which married life brings to a relationship.
“It is about helping teach them about the church, and about how it can support them through their married lives.”
Due to be published shortly the courses are according to Bishop O’Donoghue aimed at “couples with little or no knowledge of the faith or experience of the church”.
Bishop Patrick O’Donoghue confronted his fellow Bishops for failing to tackle same-sex adoption and homosexuality issues when he announced the closure of churches in the county.
