Charity Pub Crawl in Wedding Outfits

Raising money for charities is always a good cause and people are always trying to find unusual ways to achieve their targets.  A group from Bolton, after deciding that they wanted to raise some money for a Crohn’s Disease charity decided to walk the streets of Bolton on a pub crawl while dressed in wedding outfits!

The sixteen friends and family members were wearing bridesmaid’s dresses and even wedding gowns.  This year they were able to raise over three hundred pounds during their pub crawl.

Fifty five year old Carol Torkington from Astley Bridge has been the event organiser for the past three years and this year they chose the Crohn’s and Colitis UK charity as two of her family members, who also took part in the pub crawl, are sufferers of this inflammatory disease.

The group, some of whom were men, must have looked a right sight walking into the pubs of Bolton wearing the wedding dresses but the money they raised went to a good cause!
