Easter Weddings & Bridal Accessories

radiance boutique english roseEaster weddings are all about that first flush of Spring. A fresh approach to a fresh season is required. Gone are the heavier adornments of winter!

An Easter theme brings the opportunity for a spritely spring style. Complement this season’s knee length dresses with floral accessories and flowers in your hair.

Take inspiration from the blossom on the branches and opt for delicate hair grips with pearls adding a lovely soft touch. Add two or three for more of an impact.

This seasons layering trends works well for spring as intricate rows of smaller pearls are a simple way to enhance your look.

If you already have layers of lace and tulle on your dress a simple pearl pendant necklace can be really effective.

Bridesmaids can easily tie in to your look by adding a touch of colour with hair accessories or keeping up the floral theme across their jewellery too.

The key is to keep your look girly and gorgeous. Spring is a season on the verge of everything thriving, and you can retain that element of anticipation in your look.

Bride Buys Wedding Dress For 5p!

A new bride is over the moon after getting her dream dress off ebay for 5p.

Heather Saint, from Billingham, Teesside, walked down the aisle in an antique white lace and silk dress, which she bought on eBay  .

“It is gorgeous and I was proud to tell everyone at my wedding how much it cost, I didn’t mind anyone knowing,”

“You should have heard me squeal with excitement when I opened the parcel and saw how perfect it was. It’s made by a designer from Singapore.

“My dress was worth every penny.

There was a 40 pounds postage charge but the dress it’sself was 5p she added.

Heather and husband Mark married at St Cuthbert’s RC Church, Stockton, and kept the cost of their wedding down to £3,500 pounds.

Now that’s a bargin!!!!!!

Trash The Dress

89px-trash_the_dress_simon_taylor_2398.jpgThe idea is said to have started in America by photographer Mark Eric after he shot his first Trash The Dress session in New York but some sources claim that it started in 2001 when Las Vegas wedding photographer John Michael Cooper.

However, the idea of destroying a wedding dress has been used in Hollywood  since at least October 1998 when Meg Cummings of the show Sunset Beach ran into the ocean in her wedding dress after her wedding was badly interrupted.

The idea of trashing your wedding dress after hundreds of hours of stress from planning their wedding has mass appeal to some  non-traditional brides.

So will you be wrapping up you dress in Acid free tissue paper and placing in a box and putting it in the loft or do you fancy run though the sea or throwing paint all over yourself ?

Sounds like fun to me!

Wedding Dresses For the Fuller Figure

I’ve just read that one high street store is bringing out a range of five designs of wedding dresses going up to a size 32 and costing between £120-£150.

As a cuddly lady myself ( size 20-22) i’m pleased to hear this news and i think it will make wedding dress shopping a lot less daunting for us big girls (YAY! about time to).
